You may be wondering: who are the Depiesses? Well, young Mary Gavigan was at home taking care of her son Isaiah, when her friend and neighbor Lyndsey came by and noticing how lonely and unhappy she was (even if Mary didn't) decided to introduce Mary to her friend Glen. Glen was a family man without a family, and just what the doctor ordered.
Although Mary loved her husband Nathan, she wanted more than the city life living in an apartment with their son. She wanted a house with a bigger family, and Nathan was content with their son. Although Mary tried to make things work, her feelings for Glen became to strong to fight and she decided to pursue them.
Nathan found out about their affair and took Isaiah, and left. When the divorce was final, Glen moved in and they were married and now have a little girl of their own, named Stephanie with many more kids to come, they hope.
Mary wishes that she could have her son and daughter under the same roof, but must content herself with her baby daughter and sporadic visits from Isaiah. He has yet to forgive his mother for her indiscretion against his father, but is starting to soften.
What will the future hold for Glen and Mary? More kids are surely on the way, but will Nathan's new found want for more children lead to Mary second-guessing her decision?
